For 30 years, Dan Renberg has worked in Washington, DC either in public service or as an advocate before the Congress and Executive Branch. A former Legislative Director and Deputy Chief of Staff to a Republican Senator, and a former Presidentially appointed member of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Export-Import Bank, Dan’s experience has helped numerous corporate and nonprofit clients since joining Arent Fox as a partner in 2003. Recognized as a top federal lobbyist, one of Dan’s advocacy efforts was included as one of the “Top 10 Lobbying Triumphs” by The Hill and since 2015, he has been listed annually for his government relations work in The Best Lawyers in America, the nation’s oldest peer-review directory for lawyers. In addition to serving as co-practice group leader of the Government Relations practice group, Dan also serves in the International Trade practice group.

In recent years, Dan has represented numerous corporate clients, trade associations, and nonprofit organizations on a wide variety of public policy matters, including securing federal funds, and has assisted clients in resolving issues before Congress and Executive Branch agencies. Dan has worked with clients that need innovative strategic planning and tireless advocacy in the nation’s capital on issues that include healthcare, transportation infrastructure, trade policy, tax, life sciences, and economic development. Leaders of publicly traded corporations, small businesses, and a wide array of trade associations regularly depend on Dan’s assistance in achieving their diverse policy goals in a time of divided government. In addition, Dan advises U.S. and foreign clients on trade finance and project finance transactions and assists clients in expanding into foreign markets.
